What do we make of the biblical book of Revelation? Historically, how has the book been understood? How did we get to the prominent views described in the "Left Behind" series? How does our understanding of this ancient text impact how we view world events today, such as the war in the Middle East?
These are just some of the questions we will consider at the next CrossRoads comunity conversation on Thursday, January 9th at 6:30 p.m. While this event is held at CrossRoads (708 N. Main St.), it is open to anyone who wants to come and participate. All are welcome.
Patrick Wilson, pastor of CrossRoads, will overview the history of interpretation and facilitate group discussion about the purpose of the last book of the New Testament. We will consider various ways passages have been interpreted throughout history, leaving room for each person to come to their own interpretive approach. More importantly, we will consider the big picture of what Revelation is about and how to apply it to our lives.
If you have any questions, please reach out. We'd love for you to join us for this historical and meaningful discussion.
