In this series, we will focus on the matriarchs of Israel (Sarah, Hagar, Rebekah, Leah, and Rachel). Through their lives, we will see how patriarchy became prevalent in the ancient near eastern world and how it leads to harm.
In this fifth and final message, we look at the life of Rachel. Specifically, we will focus on her confiscation of her father's idols and the secrecy of hiding them. We will see how Laban unsuccessfully searches for them and evaluate how we have "idols" in our lives today. We will conclude by looking at the importance of setting boundaries for ourselves and others.
