In this series, we will look at women who served as prophets in the Bible. We will see how these women heard a message from God, internalized and applied it to their lives, and shared it as messengers of God to the people. We will also see how we are all called to be prophets in our world today.
In this second message, we will look at the prophet, Deborah. Deborah was both a judge/governor and a prophet. She provided wisdom, involvement, and fulfillment to the counsel of God. She, Jael, and Barak, led the people in victory over Sisera, Jabin, and the Canannite oppressors. We fight battles against the forces of evil today, and we need both men and women to serve as God calls them.
