In this series, we will examine the lives of various women who served as leaders in the early church. These women were evangelists, pastors, deacons, and so much more. As the modern church wrestles with the appropriate roles of leadership for women in the church, we must consider these important biblical examples.
In this first week, we look at the Samaritan woman who met Jesus at the well. The lesser known part of the story is how she returned to her town, shared her story, and invited others to come and see Jesus for themselves. Proper evangelism is not trying to scare or coerce people into coming to God but inviting them to evaluate with us who Jesus is.
