In this series, we will examine various queens who have a strong influence in the biblical narrative and our understanding of the Bible and life.
In this sixth and final message, we look at Queen Esther. We see how, following Vashti's example, Esther stands up for human rights amidst the plot to destroy the Jewish people. The Hebrews throughout Persia are in great distress as Haman plots genocide, but at Mordecai's urging, Esther approaches the king and advocates for their safety. We, too, are called to be allies and advocates for justice and equity for others.
