In this sermon, we summarize the background on the book of Judges and overview the life of Hannah, the wife of Elkanah and mother of Samuel. We consider the prayer that she offers in 1 Sameul 2:1-10 and how she turned to God in her uncertainty and distress to find the strength and grit to continue serving him as her king. We look at how to apply this prayer to our own lives as we strive to live in the kingdom of Jesus, the Messiah.
