In this sermon series, we will look at "bad words" in the Bible. Our focus will not be on profanity but on the words that describe how evil had entered our world and plagues us as humans. Understanding the nuance of words like sin, transgression and iniquity will help us better understand the destructive and deadly plight of going against God and his goodness and the benefits of following the way of Jesus in our lives.
In this first message, we look at the biblical term, "sin." We see how sin is deadly but through the death of Jesus we are raised to a new kind of life. We will explore how this not only refers to our eternal existance but is also a recipe for how to live our lives on earth with meaning and purpose.
