In this sermon series, we will look at "bad words" in the Bible. Our focus will not be on profanity but on the words that describe how evil had entered our world and plagues us as humans. Understanding the nuance of words like sin, transgression and iniquity will help us better understand the destructive and deadly plight of going against God and his goodness and the benefits of following the way of Jesus in our lives.
In this third message, we look at the biblical term, "iniquity." We see how iniquity speaks more about our state of being when we choose to continue to walk in the way of evil. Yet, God joins us in our bent and crooked state and comes in the form of a suffering, sacrficial, silent and saving servant.
